Charter advertised cable/internet package for first time user: monthly charge advertised as $79.99 for first year with free installation. Previous suscriber lived in my apt--they charged me for installation because previous tenant had Charter service at my apt address and would not refund the fee.

I made numerous attempts, all lasting more than 45 min to 2 hrs due to being on hold while "I need to check on that" was performed, then being handed off to 2-3 more people to start all over again. Promises were never kept on refunding fee.

Then they started charging me for another tier of movies I did not order and did not want. It took 8 mos and local service office clerk to get billing straightened out. The method was to refund 1 mo billing error at a time--far too long to correct.

Now they're advertising phone/cable/internet bundling in my area--and there is no date in the foreseeable future when phone can be added. Have rcvd 3 calls ea day & at least 3-4 mailed ads ea week--which we consumers pay for. One bright spot in this area. You can demand/request to be put on "no contact" lists for calls and mail! Seems to work.

(Their choice of "on Hold ?music? is guaranteed to make you furious (discordant disco) when you can't get away from it. Jean
